Painting connects me deeply to the natural world.

My creative process begins with inspiration from nature—mountains, trees, water, changing weather, light, and even the sensory experiences of smells and sounds.

With the first brush stroke, a painting comes alive. Like watching something grow, the image develops as paint moves across the canvas—sometimes blending smoothly, other times erupting with bold, overlapping strokes.

When I paint, I feel a profound sense of creation that re-centers me emotionally and restores my peace. There’s a fascinating balance between order and chaos in my work. The chaos comes when different colors mix and interact on the canvas, creating unexpected results—like watching storms on Jupiter. The order comes from my deliberate choices: selecting specific colors, deciding whether to use a brush, palette knife, or even my fingers.
